Join the League Against Imperialism Centennial Commemoration in Brussels (March 12-14, 2027).

One hundred years ago, in February 1927, 175 delegates from across the globe gathered in Brussels to launch the League Against Imperialism. They forged a historic alliance that prefigured the Bandung Conference and inspired the Non-Aligned Movement. Their struggle was not just for national independence, but for a fundamental reordering of global power.

Today, we stand at a similar turning point.

A century later, the world faces a resurgent and intensified imperialism. Yet, just as in 1927, resistance is rising. The "Spirit of Bandung" remains a vital rallying cry for sovereignty, non-interference, and international solidarity.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are inviting activists, organizers, scholars, artists, and movement builders to join us in Brussels for a weekend of intense dialogue and planning. We specifically prioritize:

  • Representatives from the Global South: Grassroots organizers, activists, and community leaders from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

  • Working-Class Organizers: Members of labor unions and peasant movements.

  • Youth and Student Activists: Those eager to learn from history and carry the torch forward.

More information on the call for participants is provided here.
